# pgvector, bucket binding and linked services that wake together

Week ending October 21, 2026. CLI 0.1.36.

- **Databases.** Managed Postgres includes pgvector: the app's own role can run `CREATE EXTENSION vector;`.
- **Manifest.** `[buckets.<name>] service = "web"` passes the bucket's credentials to that service as AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID, AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY, AWS_REGION, AWS_ENDPOINT_URL_S3 and S3_BUCKET, so a plain S3 client works with no setup.
- **Runtime.** Services linked with `--link` wake with the app that calls them, and a browser waits out a cold wake on a page that reloads itself.
- **Sign-in.** The sign-in page assistants open accepts a password as well as an emailed code.
