# Claude + Ample: deploy apps from Claude.ai and Claude Desktop

Add Ample as a custom connector in Claude.ai or Claude Desktop and deploy apps from a chat.

## The short version

To deploy from Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, add Ample as a custom connector with the URL `https://api.ample.computer/mcp` and sign in with your email. Claude can then plan, deploy and check apps on Ample from the chat and show the live URL.

## Set up Claude for Ample

1. **Add Ample as a connector.** In Claude, open Customize > Connectors > Add > Add custom connector, name it Ample and paste this URL. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds it under Organization settings > Connectors first.

   ```sh
   https://api.ample.computer/mcp
   ```

2. **Sign in.** Ample asks for your email and sends a 6-digit code; a new email gets a Free account. Then approve the connection.

3. **Ask it to deploy.** The deploy waits until the app is live or failed and returns the URL. On failure the result says who must act and suggests a fix.

   ```sh
   Deploy the app in this workspace to Ample and give me the URL.
   ```

## Example prompts

- Create a small to-do app and deploy it to Ample.
- List my Ample apps and tell me which ones failed.
- Show the runtime logs for my latest Ample deploy.

## Notes

- Connectors added on Claude.ai also appear in Claude Desktop.
- For code on your own machine, Claude Code is the better fit: see [Claude Code + Ample](https://ample.computer/agents/claude-code).
